Soy Gel Professional Paint and Sealer Stripper

Earlier this year, I stained a portion of concrete in my new bedroom addition. I sealed it, but have not waxed it yet. We have a few paint spills, and I am wondering what I can use to remove the paint without harming the stain or if that is even possible.

If the floor was acid stained, the color is permanent and removing the paint will not affect the color. The sealer may come off with the paint, so you may have to reseal the areas where the paint is removed. We have a product called Soy Gel Professional Paint and Sealer Stripper that works well for removing paint.

I have dry wall mudd and paint splatters on my concrete floor in our basement. The concrete is ten years old. I would like to acid stain. What would be the best product to remove the drywall mud, paint and prepare the concrete for a stain?
The first step would be to clean your floor thoroughly with a Simple Green degreaser and water solution. Once you know what will come off and what won’t, use a wire brush to remove the dry wall mud from the pores of the concrete. Dry wall mud is very difficult to effectively remove from concrete but the brush is your best best. I recommend the Soy Gel Paint Stripper to remove the paint from your floor. The product is very easy to work with and is appropriate for enclosed environments like basements. Clean the floor again with the degreaser and water solution to remove any residue then once more with water only. Allow to dry. The floor should be ready to acid stain at this point.
