DCI Water Based Satin Gloss Sealer

Description: Water-Based Acrylic Sealer with a satin finish at two coats. One or two coats can be applied to indoor floors depending on the desired gloss level. Two coats should be applied to all outdoor concrete for increased durability. VOC compliant in all 50 states. Recommended for use in occupied homes or businesses.
Coverage Area: Applied in thin coats, approximately 200 square feet per gallon depending on concrete surface conditions.
Application: Apply the sealer in thin coats using a Padco Floor Trim Pad, Floor Coater or similar applicator. Only an airless sprayer or HVLP sprayer should be used to spray the sealer. If spraying a water-based sealer, backroll with a 3/8 in. or less nap roller for even coats. For best results with an applicator, soak the applicator in warm water and shake out the access before beginning the application. Apply thin coats of sealer and allow up to 24 hours drying time between coats. The sealer will appear milky when first applied and will clear as it dries. Sealers applied with an applicator should be “pushed on” only. Pulling back with the applicator will result in unattractive sealer streaks that often require stripping to correct. Do not apply a second coat of sealer in areas where the sealer has remained white or is tacky to the touch. Keep in mind that not all concrete slabs are completely level or smooth which can cause sealer to pool or appear dull in spots if troweled finish is uneven. Thick coats will result in an inconsistent finish with tacky areas that may not set-up correctly.
Drying Time: Allow for 24 hours between coats of sealer and at least another 24 hours curing time before foot or heavy traffic. If applied in a humid climate or the weather conditions are damp and overcast, give the surface additional time to dry. Do not walk on wet sealer, as it will leave permanent impressions on your surface. Cover your feet with plastic bags to protect your floor’s finish. An Acrylic-based DCI Wax and Floor Polish should be applied for all indoor floor applications. Product should be stored at room temperature.
Cold Temperature Warning: DO NOT apply Water-Based sealers when surface temperatures are below 60°F with an air temperature difference of 5 degrees or less. Central heating, radiant or convection heaters, or similar heating devices should be turned off during application. In-floor heating should be set at 60-65 degrees before and turned off during the application process. DO NOT Freeze.
