With concrete countertops becoming more popular by the day, mastering the art has become a priority for many contractors. But finding the perfect mix of concrete and additives to produce the intricate designs and shapes required for many countertop projects is a complicated, not to mention expensive process.
Our DCI Concrete Countertop Mix is designed with all our customers in mind and can be successfully applied by DIYer’s and professional contractors alike. Suitable for precast and cast-in-place projects, DCI Countertop Mix, available in both white and gray-based cement, was designed to be extremely versatile and easy-to-use. Our mix can be colored with
concrete pigments for more uniform shades or with concrete acid stain or Deco Gel acid stain for that luxurious multi-toned appearance. Decorative aggregates – glass or natural – can also be used to accent the countertop surface.
Our Countertop Mix is a high-strength concrete blended with superplasticizers that ensure excellent flowability while maintaining a low water-to-concrete ratio (3 to 4 quarts per 50 pound box). Other mix additives help prevent surface cracking, promote even cure rates, and increase the countertop crush and flex strength by approximately 20%.

Mixing Instructions
DCI Concrete Countertop Mix must be infused with three to four pints of water per 50 pound box. Blend mixture until smooth and DCI Countertop Mix is completely saturated with water (thickness of mixture depends on amount of water applied). Pour into your countertop form and allow at least four days to completely cure.
After allowing an appropriate amount of time to cure, your concrete countertop can be removed from the mold. The countertop should cure for an additional ten days outside the mold before grinding. After your concrete countertop has properly cured, grind with the polishing pads of your choice. Grinding is recommended to expose decorative aggregates and/or smooth the rough edges of the countertop surface.
