High Zirconia Alkali-Resistant Chopped Fiber and Fiberglass Net strengthen the concrete and help prevent cracking from shrinkage. When both chopped fibers and fiberglass net are used together in a concrete countertop application, steel reinforcement is not required. DCI Concrete Countertop Admix contains both fibers and polymers for Glass Fiber Reinforced Countertop projects. Concrete Countertop fibers are 13mm in length.
How to Use Chopped Fiber and Fiberglass Net
in a Concrete Countertop
High Zirconia Alkali-Resistant Chopped Fibers are used to strengthen the slab and prevent surface cracking. Concrete Fibers are the same molecular weight of Portland cement and are virtually undetectable in the slab. Use 1 to 3 lbs. of chopped fiber per yard of concrete. Concrete fibers are 19mm in length.
