Why Sub-Zero Liquid Ice Melt As Your First Choice?
Sub-Zero Ice Melt is unique because it is a clear, odorless, and easy-handling solution. Our ice melt solution includes an industrial grade corrosion inhibitor approved by the FAA for use on airport runways. Sub-Zero Ice Melt will not corrode application equipment or concrete, which can save you money and time in replacement costs.
Unique Corrosion Inhibitor Package
Sub-Zero Ice Melt includes special grade corrosion inhibitors that substantially reduce corrosion of galvanized steel, copper, and other metals. Please see the chart below for corrosion comparisons of other popular ice melt products:

Environmentally Friendly
Sub-Zero Ice Melt is environmentally friendly and is non-toxic and non-hazardous to plant and animal life. It is non-damaging to most surfaces including concrete, metals, wood, gutters, lawns, and vegetation. Sub-Zero Ice Melt has a very low biological oxygen demand (BOD) rate and contains no phosphates or urea. The lower the BOD rate, the quicker it decomposes into environmentally safe components. Chloride -based de-icers (calcium and magnesium chloride) accumulate in the environment as harmful salts, which can be damaging to plant and animal life, including fish.
High Perfomance Liquid Ice Melt
Sub-Zero Ice Melt is a practical solution — it works longer and better than magnesium chloride, calcium chloride, and traditional rock salts. Please review the comparison chart below:

Use As Anti-Icer or De-Icer Bottom Line — It Works!
You can apply Sub-Zero Ice Melt before or after a storm!
Pre-Treatment: Apply just 0.5 gallons of ice melt to approximately 1,000 square feet 4-6 hours BEFORE a storm to pre-treat dry surfaces. More product may be required for extremely wet surfaces to acheive the same results.
De-Icer: When using Sub-Zero Ice Melt as a de-icer (after a storm), apply 1 gallon to approximately 1,000 square feet for thin ice. When ice is more than 1 inch thick, apply up to 3 gallons per 1,000 square feet. Temperature can affect application rates. Please refer to the chart below for product effectiveness:
