Colored Concrete Countertops
Classy Countertop Design for Kitchens, Bathrooms and Bartops
Colored Concrete Countertops have most definitely found their way into even the most sophisticated home designs. In a recent article, Houzz.com shows us three classy, yet simple kitchen designs including one with a concrete countertop. Solid color concrete countertops are very popular because the smooth, colorful finish works well with so many cabinetry and paint options. Concrete pigment offers interior designers and homeowners such a wide variety of colors to choose that the potential is endless.
While Houzz.com selected a kitchen design featuring a poured concrete countertop, that’s not the only possibility. Liz Morrow with Liz Morrow Design used Direct Colors Smooth White Concrete Overlay to resurface her existing laminate kitchen countertop. She kept us up to date with her project on Instagram but we so impressed by the simple elegance of the white concrete overlay and what a fantastic job she did with the application.
Integrally Colored Poured Concrete Countertops
Colored Concrete Countertops offer homeowners, restaurants and bars an opportunity to push the boat out a bit with color and style. Brad Carlisle with William B. Carlisle Design completed this white integrally colored countertop in 2018 for a family in Oklahoma City. This is a very busy family including a professional baker so this countertop not only had to look good but stand up to constant and heavy use. Brad ticked all the boxes with this project. He was happy, the Carr family was happy and we’re delighted our products were part of this beautiful yet exceedingly functional kitchen redesign!
Gray Concrete Bathroom Vanity
Gray is one of our most popular colors for countertops but of course, there are many shades of gray! Randy S. sent this bathroom vanity project to us a few years ago and it remains an inspiration to our customers. Whether gray is your color or not, you’ll be pleased to know that Direct Colors offers A LOT of color options to choose from. One of the design advantages concrete pigment offers is rich, solid colors – add color, mix and pour! Even better than that, you can add pigment to our concrete overlay to refinish existing bathroom vanities and countertops with the exact same color options you’d have with a poured countertop!
Restaurant bartops are busy places and take a fair amount of abuse. Our concrete countertops have to be strong yet look pretty no matter what comes their way! Rough n Ready Concrete poured these two tone integrally colored bar tops for a restaurant in ???. They’ve used 15.4 Blue Pigment in white concrete to create the design element and added a little glass aggregate to jazz it up a bit. It’s a beautiful job. Durability often comes down to the countertop sealer choice. Direct Colors offers many top coats and penetrating sealers to choose from. Our 500 solvent based polyurethane is an excellent high gloss choice for heavy use countertops like this one but polyurethanes in general are very durable, easy-to-apply countertop sealers.
