Just pour and scrape!!! Bean-E-Doo Mastic Remover safely removes asbestos glue, carpet glue, and ceramic tile glue. Simple, clean, and almost odor-free. Just pop the tile or pull up the carpet. Then pour Bean-E-Doo Mastic Remover on the surface. In about an hour, you will be amazed at how the mastic turns so soft you could scrape it off with your business card! Bean-E-Doo is 100% biodegradable, non-toxic, non-caustic, and very economical. Its low evaporative rate allows it to continue to work for up to 24 hours, saving valuable labor dollars. This product will not remove paint, concrete sealers, epoxies, or other topical coatings.

Coverage:

Bean-E-Doo will cover up to 200 sq. ft. per gallon depending on surface conditions and glue thickness. Bean-E-Doo® Mastic Remover should not be used on wood surfaces and might slightly darken a concrete surface.

Application:

Apply Bean-E-Doo® Mastic Remover undiluted directly on the concrete surface. Applying too much Bean-E-Doo® does not increase removal time but will contribute to impeding the complete residue removal. Where there are wide cracks or seals, fill with a commercial absorbent like diatomaceous clay, sawdust, or synthetic absorbent, before pouring Bean-E-Doo® on the surface. Use a long-handled brush or broom to ensure Bean-E-Doo® covers all the mastic trowel ridges. Allow Bean-E-Doo® to work until the glue or mastic softens (generally 45 – 60 minutes for asbestos mastic. Allow up to 4 hours for vinyl and acrylic mastics). For best results, cover areas with a plastic sheet or tarp to reduce evaporation. Cover all outdoor applications with plastic.

Removal:

Use a long-handled scraper or squeegee to remove softened mastic and excess product. Generally, black mastic will dissolve into a liquid the consistency of very old engine oil and can be scraped into a puddle. Fill the puddle with a commercial absorbent, and then shovel into the receptacle. All other mastics tend to lift as more solid than liquid for easy disposal. For best clean-up results, after removing softened mastic, cover floor with a commercial absorbent, sweep up and then mop the floor thoroughly with an organic degreaser and water solution until the Bean-E-Doo residue is removed. Wash with fresh water until cleanser-free. If the rinse water turns cloudy white, the product is still present on the surface. Mopping again with the cleanser solution until the surface is clean. This is a critical step to ensure successful future coloring and sealing.
