Scope of Work – Indoor Floor Concrete Overlay
This 550 sq.ft. project began as a 50 year old basement floor that had previously been covered with carpet. The family wanted to update the floor with a concrete overlay and acid stain using several colors. After several conversations with our technicians, Ms. Ribble felt confident to begin. She applied three acid stain colors and sealed using a high gloss water-based sealer. She chose colors that would blend well with the brick around her fireplace and hoped to achieve a marbled stain appearance.
“Thanks to Shawna and Len for all of your help. I really appreciate the attention you give to DIYers. I am very happy with the way my basement floor turned out. Having our family room in the basement, we were worried about not getting a cozy feel but did not want to use carpet and was exhausted at the thought of tiling such a large room. Love this look and the warm, natural, yet elegant look.” – Ribble Family of Wichita, KS
