Renew outdoor colored concrete with Antiquing Stain or Tinted Sealer
Direct Colors Antiquing Stain is perfect for stamped or heavily textured concrete
Direct Colors Colored Antiquing Stain is a flexible, easy-to-work with spray-on stain that can be applied to most outdoor concrete even previously sealed surfaces. Originally developed to restore colored and stamped outdoor concrete, liquid colored antique can be applied to textured or stamped surfaces to achieve an accented and richly colored appearance. Antiquing Stain is available in 40 colors and can be applied with a pump-up fence and deck sprayer, a foam brush or roller or a sponge. Popular product for blending and matching colors when exterior concrete has been repaired or damaged. This product would be preferred for driveways or any high traffic concrete. It’s easy to repair if the sealer isn’t maintained and looks great for years!
Use Tinted Concrete Sealer for smoother, lightly-broomed finishes.
Direct Colors Tinted Sealer is a one-step color and sealer application that can be used indoors or out on smooth or textured concrete. High Gloss Acrylic and Satin Acrylic Sealers can be tinted to over 30 colors.
Tinted sealer provides a solid, consistent coloration with some high and low-lights depending on concrete texture. Solvent-based tinted sealer can be sprayed or rolled. Water based tinted sealer should be rolled only for best results.
Consider the level of gloss you’d prefer before you selecting a base sealer. Satin Sealers are a better choice for outdoor concrete because they are less of a slip hazard when wet.
Always top coat tinted concrete sealer with a clear coat outdoors for better durability and more even wear over the life of the concrete.
Clear sealer should be re-applied once every two years but if maintained properly, the tinted sealer underneath should not require re-application.
Tinted Sealers applied indoors will be waxed for added protection and do not require a clear top coat.
