Restore, Blend and Renew Faded Color with Concrete Stain
Colored Concrete Patios are our number one project. Whether they’re acid stained or integrally colored, a faded, dull patio is not a sight to behold. Several years ago Direct Colors formulated an easy-to-use concrete stain to renew and restore color to faded outdoor concrete. Nothing could be easier to apply or do a better job of quickly reviving color, especially on textured or stamped concrete.
Sample Testing with DCI Liquid Colored Antique
One of this product’s most persuasive qualities is the ease of sample testing. Liquid Colored Antique Concrete Stain can be applied directly to the concrete for color matching and technique. Direct Colors offers over 40 colors in individual samples and kits of six to help determine which color or colors work best. Once a choice has been made, the sample areas can be scrubbed off using a soft bristle brush and an organic degreaser and water solution.
What’s so Easy about Liquid Colored Antique Concrete Stain?
The stain can be applied with a foam brush for testing purposes and sprayed from a Fence and Deck Sprayer for the larger project. Other than shaking the product very well before pouring it into the sprayer, no other preparation is needed. Power wash the concrete, allow to dry and apply. Unlike acid staining, there’s not even a cleaner step before sealing! Wait 6-8 hours for dry time and seal. You’ll have the whole patio project complete in one weekend!
What about the Concrete Sealer?
Sprayable Satin Finish Sealer is an excellent choice for outdoor concrete. Outdoor concrete can become slippery when wet, especially patios and pool decks. High gloss sealers can contribute to slip hazards on wet concrete. Satin Gloss sealers like our Sprayable Satin Finish, 550 Matte Water Based Polyurethane and DCI Water Based Sealer are a better choice for outdoor concrete. If you love a “wet look” finish, consider adding an anti-slip grit additive to your final coat of high gloss sealer in higher traffic areas for safety.
