“This is Treena, A Dryad I created using many techniques. Her base is a mannequin, her roots and hair began life as a floor mop with extensions! She was stained with Direct Colors Coffee Brown Acid Stain and sealed with Krystal Kote Water Based Sealer.”

“I was fortunate enough to be here when the slab was poured. After it was finished, but still wet, I pressed some grasses and some sunflowers into the wet cement. I even had my dogs run around leaving shallow paw prints. It all looks so great on my floor! There was no plan — I just sprayed the acid stain, alternating colors. I even took the leftover colors from my acid stain samples and literally threw them here and there in a room. I am a watercolor artist. I really love the watercolor effect this gave me. Sealed the floor with AC1315 High Gloss Sealer. It is beautiful! Thank you!”

“Great. Thank you very much for answering my questions and directing me to the Liquid Colored Antique Stain product. Had I not heard back I would have ordered more than I needed and the wrong type product. Thanks again.”

“I just wanted to let you guys know how impressed I was with your product and customer support!! I sent an email with a few questions before starting my project and it was answered promptly. I was extremely impressed with how my project turned out, and have HIGHLY recommended your product/company. I purchased the Acid Stain DIY kit, one additional gallon of acid stain and the Commercial Concrete Floor Wax and Polish. Everything I needed was there and the directions were sufficient. Again I wanted to thank you for all your help and an amazing product. I will definitely be promoting your company as well as purchasing additional products from you.

“I’ve looked into concrete pigments for coloring plaster a number of times in the past. The liquid ones you can get at home improvement stores for concrete or grout never seem to work- they either take days to fully dry, never dry at all, or leave the castings really brittle. The problem with dry pigments, though, is that most places seem to only sell in 25 or 50 lb. quantities. Direct Colors sells 4 oz. and 8 oz. samples for $10 and $15, respectively. I bought a 4oz packet of the reddish color for making bricks, and a little goes a long long way. The pigments are really strong, and they are completely inert (I called and asked before ordering) so they don’t inhibit the plaster from setting. Great product.”
