“I’ve looked into concrete pigments for coloring plaster a number of times in the past. The liquid ones you can get at home improvement stores for concrete or grout never seem to work- they either take days to fully dry, never dry at all, or leave the castings really brittle. The problem with dry pigments, though, is that most places seem to only sell in 25 or 50 lb. quantities. Direct Colors sells 4 oz. and 8 oz. samples for $10 and $15, respectively. I bought a 4oz packet of the reddish color for making bricks, and a little goes a long long way. The pigments are really strong, and they are completely inert (I called and asked before ordering) so they don’t inhibit the plaster from setting. Great product.”

I used real plant leaves and made leaf patterns with your easy to use concrete acid stain on some of these patio pavers and marbled others and the end result turned out beautiful. My neighbors said I could make more and sell them, they were so nice. I just read the directions and then started staining.

“Many thanks again to Direct Colors for an uber-customizable overlay when it especially impacts my variations and style of my hand-texture. This project was another custom hand troweled textured Concrete Overlay with the two-tone gray acetone decorative stain and the Krystal Kote High Gloss Water-Based Acrylic Sealer.”

“My order of Liquid Colored Antique Concrete Stain and Water Based Sealer came in. So far I’m very happy. The boxes are sealed very well. To my shock Justin called me to make sure everything was as I ordered. Getting ready to apply in the next week or two. But for now double thumbs up for this company!”
