Get Creative with DCI Concrete Dye
Popular Black and White Indoor Concrete Floors
Jim with Mountain Smoke Concrete in Tennessee was asked by a client to transform concrete floors in a sun room with a black and white design. After some discussion with our Direct Colors decorative concrete experts, Jim decided to try the DCI Concrete Dye because it would create the look his customer had specified.
For this slab, he applied Sprayable Satin Finish Sealer on the concrete before spraying on the acetone-based dye. The concrete sealer helps insure the best possible performance on a porous surface. He then sprayed the jet black concrete dye first before spraying the white to creating some shading and lighter effects. He later sealed the surface again and waxed the floor with a concrete wax and floor polish.
Jim said the application went great and he continues to receive many job referrals from his customer. “Easy application. DCI Concrete Dye creates unique looking floors with coloration that can’t be replicated with acid stain.”
Thanks for sharing, Jim!
